NR 510 Week 1: Historical Development of the Advanced Practice Nursing and Evidence-Based Practice(EBP) Discussion

 

The four roles of the APN are: Certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), certified nurse midwife (CNM), clinical nurse specialist (CNS), and certified nurse practitioner (CNP). The CRNA can administer anesthesia surgical procedures in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, obstetricians, dentist, and other qualified health care professionals. The CRNA is a MSN (masters of nursing) or DNP (doctor of nursing) degree with the focus being anesthesia administration.
