COMMENT:
Here's the takeaway from our discussion. We learned that marginalized groups have the highest risk of poor health outcomes. We found that social determinants are and influence healthcare delivery as well as finances. We evaluated as a class how we can improve health care for marginalized clients. I will not leave out the fact that social services, employment, education, and basic needs also affect health as well. As health care providers we need to be a part of the solution and not the problem. We will educate, implement, and be culturally aware of improved care and access to this patient. Thanks
