Patient is a 57 year old overweight Hispanic man who presents for an elevated BP reading at a health fair. He works in construction and admits to drinking on the weekends and smoking a pack a day for 35 years. Previously told to monitor diet due to eevated BP in the past but took no actions. Admits to caffeine in the morning, fast food and tex Mex for meals. BP elevated 172/94 with A-V nicking noted on fundoscopic exam. Admits to taking omeprazole for acid reflux and ibuprofen for knee pain.
