National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) Competencies Speaker Notes:
Evidence Based Project: I will be discussing what EBP is and the importance of using EBP as an FNP.
Conceptual Model: I will discuss the use of the John Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice Model.
Area of Interest: Depression in teenagers is more common than people like to think. I would like to discuss the occurrence in teens and the importance of treating and preventing depression in teenagers.
Issue/Concern and Recommendation for change: The issue I would like to address is the lack of access to mental health providers and my recommendation to attempt to correct the issue.
